Notice of temporary closures of parts of trails
Notice of Temporary Closures of Parts of Trails and Conservation Areas affecting Parts of Clinton; Bannockburn; and Lucan Conservation Areas during work related to excavation and installation of privies
Date of Notice update: November 7, 2025
This Notice is to notify the public that there are projects that require the temporary closure of parts of three conservation areas:
- Clinton Conservation Area
- Bannockburn Conservation Area
- Lucan Conservation Area
All of these closures affect small areas and/or trails of the properties.
These temporary closures, affecting parts of the properties, are in place until further notice.
Work includes excavation and installation of privies at the conservation areas.
It is expected that excavation of a privy at Bannockburn Conservation Area will begin on or around Monday, November 10, 2025.
There should still be trail access during this work but the parking area may be reduced in size.
Work at Lucan Conservation Area is expected to begin on or around Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Work at Clinton Conservation Area is expected to take place on or around November 12-13, 2025.
Delivery and placement of tanks for the privy work is expected to take place on or around Friday, November 14, 2025.
Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) staff will be placing privy buildings at the conservation areas on or around the week of November 24-28.
