Some Hay Swamp properties closed temporarily

Properties in Hay Swamp closed temporarily for summer 2025 Conifer thinning
Forestry thinning work, by Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA), requires the temporary closure of some properties at a few locations in Hay Swamp while the work is underway.
The properties are closed until further Notice while the work is underway.

The PDF file includes two maps:
1. Locations of Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) Conifer thinning operations at Hay Swamp in the summer of 2025
2. Locations of ABCA Conifer thinning operations at Devil's Elbow in the summer of 2025
Yellow blocks, on the maps, show planned Conifer thinning operations.
The affected areas include property:
- South of Rodgerville Road and east of Parr Line
- North of MacDonald Road and east of Parr Line
- North of Huron Street, between parr Line and Ausable Line.
The first property closed is ABCA's Coleman Tract, starting on July 17, 2025 until further notice.
ABCA's Coleman Tract is located at Lot 14, Concession 6, in the former Hay Township.
This work at Coleman Tract may take a week or more and the work will move in a southerly direction to the other locations on the maps over the coming weeks.
