Two new Water and Planning Technicians now part of team at Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority
Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) has two new faces in its planning and regulations program. ABCA has announced that Jaden Schoelier and Maliheh (Millie) Ghorbankhani have joined the organization, in May 2025, as Water and Planning Technicians.
Geoffrey Cade is ABCA Water and Planning Manager. He said the conservation authority is excited to have two new and enthusiastic people, with a great deal of knowledge and experience, bring their skills to the planning and regulations program.
“We are very fortunate to have bright, positive, knowledgeable and experienced people step into these important roles,” he said. “Millie and Jaden bring many new skills and positive attributes,” he said. “This will be of great benefit to their work, with people in this watershed, to protect life and property from natural hazards such as flooding and erosion.”
Millie Ghorbankhani has a Master’s Degree in Natural Resource Management from Lakehead University. Her undergraduate studies were in Agricultural Water Engineering at the University of Tehran. Millie has seven years of experience working in agricultural water management. Millie lived in Thunder Bay before moving to the area to work at ABCA.
